Byrne Black Belt Academy
The Byrne Black Belt Academy is one of the most successful sport karate clubs in the County.
Seen on front cover of issue 53 Primary Times. The club has several world champions amongst its members.
This is a family friendly club and we have parents and their children as members training.
The club now has a Truro branch on Thursday evenings at: Truro Town Hall Boscawen Street, Truro.Times: Little Ninjas 6-6:45 (ages 3-6yrs) Karate Kids 6:45-7:45 (ages 7-12yrs) Teens and Adults 7:45-8:45 The club is currently running after school clubs in the Truro area at Bosvigo, Treyew, Kea and Truro High School for girls.Also at Polwhele House School.
The first two lessons are free, so what are you waiting for !!!!

ICO British Open and World Qualifier
Friday 1st March 2013
This weekend saw members from the club attend the ICO British Open and World Qualifier Championships at Birmingham on Sunday 10th February 2013. This resulted in another great tally of medals won for points fighting and traditional weapons. Fifteen gold medals won by Bradley ‘Raiders’ Byrne, Dan Gregory, Ally Gregory, Claire Payne, Matthew Hosking, Rosie Donaghy, Liam Simons, Molly Burrough, Mandy Bullen, Kyle Silgram. Jake Rees and Georgie Clark both won two gold medals. Gold medal winners come away with British Open Championship titles in their respective classes. Thirteen Silver medals won by Claire Payne, Barry Plechowicz, Faith Rowe, Mandy Bullen, Liam Simons, Zach Burrough, Renee Rubio- Richards, Georgina Clark and Jake Rees. Kyle Gregory and Eden Benney each won two silver medals. Ten bronze won by Billy Byrne, Eden Benney, Dan Gregory, Matt Hosking, Rosie Donaghy, Jake Rees, Amy Collins and Molly Burrough. Ben Clark won two bronze medals.Well done to everyone and an honourable mention for Paul Levick, Sam McGuigan, Jordan Rees, Ethan and Kyle Nicholas who gave 100% but just missed out....
